Duncan Hills Golf Course owes its name and origins to Harry Duncan (pictured below) and his wife, Anneliese, who generously donated the land on November 27, 1972. Their contribution laid the foundation for what would become a beloved local golfing destination.
Originally designed as a 9-hole course, Duncan Hills expanded to 18 holes in the early 1990s, providing golfers with a more challenging and engaging experience. Located at one of the highest points in Andrew County, the course offers not only spectacular views but also some demanding holes that test players’ skills.
As a municipal course, Duncan Hills is owned and operated by the City of Savannah, making it a community-centered establishment. It is one of 2,939 municipal courses across the United States, offering affordable and accessible golfing opportunities to the public.
Duncan Hills continues to be a source of pride for the Savannah community, combining natural beauty with a rich history and a commitment to fostering a love of the game.
